Current Events
 | The El Pomar Youth in Community Service members had their first meeting on October 1,
1999. The students then surveyed the student body and write their mission statement
for the 1999-2000 school year. |
 | A new course is being piloted in the CTP called BizTech. Developed by the National
Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneursip (NFTE) and sponsored by Microsoft, the entire
curriculum is online. Students interested in entrepreneurial ventures, learn how to
target the market, set up a business and write a business plan. To learn more,

Mission Statement: The students at Emily
Griffith High School plan to work hard to make a difference in the community. We
would like to donate our grant money to non-profit organizations that address literacy,
cancer and Alzheimer's research, and emergency assistance for the needy.
